BoilerMag XT Nominated for Innovative Product Award at Northern Ireland’s Plumbing & Heating Awards
BoilerMag is pleased to announce that the BoilerMag XT commercial heating system filter has been shortlisted for the Innovative Product Award at Northern Ireland’s Plumbing & Heating Awards 2018. Incorporating innovative magnetic technology, the BoilerMag XT has been carefully engineered to provide protection against the build-up of ferrous oxide in a variety of larger buildings including factories, offices, hospitals and schools.

As a finalist for the Innovative Product – Controls, Components & Accessories category, the BoilerMag XT will be up against a variety of innovative products recognised by the industry. This year’s winners will be announced at the Gala Awards Ceremony which takes place on Friday 13th April at Titanic Belfast; a formal, black-tie event including a drinks reception, four-course meal with wine, and entertainment from David Meade.
Honouring the Best in the Industry
The 2018 Northern Ireland Plumbing and Heating Awards are set to honour the best in the industry with award categories covering the full spectrum of the diverse industry. It is a tremendous achievement to just be nominated, and the panel of judges has commented on the very high calibre of entries received.
Craig Worth, National Sales Manager at BoilerMag said: “With strict criteria for applications and a very high standard of products entered, it’s a great achievement for BoilerMag to have been recognised at the Northern Ireland’s Plumbing & Heating Awards 2018 for their innovative approach to product design and manufacture with the BoilerMag XT. We are exceptionally proud of the product with regard to its innovative design and the many benefits it can offer, and are very happy that the XT has been received so favourably in Northern Ireland.”
The BoilerMag Product Range in Northern Ireland
BoilerMag recently announced that Gavin Watson of Watson Consultancy Services is now supporting the BoilerMag product range in Northern Ireland. As a representative for BoilerMag, Gavin oversees the sales operation in the area, playing a lead role in the development of the BoilerMag sales strategy in Northern Ireland. It is, therefore, a fitting recognition of BoilerMag in Ireland.
Innovative Filtration for Large Heating Systems
The BoilerMag XT is a high performance filter that provides lasting protection for larger heating and cooling systems, effectively preventing the build-up of ferrous oxide. Following feedback from the market, and recent product development, the XT now has an automatic air vent which enables the filter to be used as an air release point; an innovative approach to design which has many benefits for both maintenance engineers and property owners. With air being a major catalyst for corrosion, the air vent provides additional on-going protection by releasing air without manual intervention.
Powerful magnetic circuits and large collection capacity, combined with optimised fluid flow dynamics ensure that virtually every particle of magnetite (sludge) is removed on the first pass through the filter, thereby improving efficiency and protecting system components.
The BoilerMag XT Commercial Heating System Filter
The BoilerMag XT is available in sizes to fit 2” up to 12” pipes and PN16 flanges, and has an operating pressure of up to 12 bar. With powerful magnets and premium quality manufacture, the unit can extract ultrafine particles, and can be cleaned easily during the normal system routine service. There are many benefits to installing the filter in large heating systems, including a reduction in energy bills, an increase in the life of the boiler, and a reduction in maintenance call outs. The BoilerMag XT also comes with a 10 year warranty.
