BoilerMag is pleased to announce that the BoilerMag XT has been nominated for the Commercial HVAC Product of the Year Award 2018<\/a> at the H&V News Awards<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The BoilerMag XT<\/a> is a high performance filter that provides lasting protection for larger heating and cooling systems, effectively preventing the build-up of ferrous oxide. Following feedback from the market, and recent product development<\/strong>, the XT now has an automatic air vent which enables the filter to be used as an\u00a0air release point; an innovative approach to design which has many benefits for both maintenance engineers and property owners. With air being a major catalyst for corrosion, the air vent provides additional on-going protection by releasing air without manual intervention.<\/p>\n

National Recognition for BoilerMag<\/h2>\n

Now in its 24th year, the H&V News awards<\/strong> are the longest running, largest, and most celebrated ceremony for the building services, specifically designed to recognise the achievements across the industry.<\/p>\n

Innovative Magnetic Technology<\/h3>\n

Applicants for the Commercial HVAC Product of the Year Award were required to demonstrate the innovation of the product, as well as outline ways in which both environmental and safety concerns have been met. Incorporating innovative magnetic technology, the BoilerMag XT has been carefully engineered to provide protection against the build-up of ferrous oxide<\/strong> in a variety of larger buildings including factories, offices, hospitals and schools.<\/p>\n

Powerful magnetic circuits<\/strong> and large collection capacity<\/strong>, combined with optimised fluid flow dynamics<\/strong> ensure that virtually every particle of magnetite (sludge) is removed on the first pass through the filter, thereby improving efficiency and protecting system components.<\/p>\n

Specially designed as a\u00a0full flow filter<\/strong>, the Boilermag XT has an innovative approach to heating system filtration, whereby the unit filters 100% of the water on a single pass. A full flow filter is fitted in-line within the main circulation, allowing the Boilermag XT to extract the vast majority of black sludge. Alternatives such as some sidestream filters, which only filter a small percentage of the\u00a0 water on a single pass, can allow black sludge to circulate several times before collecting, potentially causing damage to the system.<\/p>\n

Filtration for Large Heating Systems<\/h3>\n

The BoilerMag XT is available in sizes to fit 2\u201d up to 12\u201d pipes and PN16 flanges, and has an operating pressure of up to 12 bar. With powerful magnets and premium quality manufacture<\/strong>, the unit can extract ultrafine particles, and can be cleaned easily during the normal system routine service. There are many benefits to installing the filter in large heating systems, including a reduction in energy bills, an increase in the life of the boiler, and a reduction in maintenance call outs. The BoilerMag XT also comes with a 10 year warranty.<\/p>\n
